How does this membership differ from a traditional CSA membership? How is it similar?
Our members have control over when they get their produce. There are no designated pick-up times. You can shop anytime during open hours.
Our program offers the same benefits to the farmer as traditional CSA’s because we are receiving money during the winter and spring months which we use to pay for the inputs we need at the start of the season. Just like with a traditional CSA model, you, the member, invest money in us, the farm, before the start of the harvest season. Then all season long you come to the farm and get your share of the farm’s produce.
What are the benefits of being a member?
At Jones Orchard, we strive to offer only the freshest, highest quality produce to our customers. When you become a member you commit to eating local, fresh produce. This is a benefit not only to you but to the community as well because it supports local farms and builds the local economy.
